VISUAL DESIGN FOR MOBILE APPLICATION
I joined this project at latest pre-release phase, app was already build from basic Android UI components. My task was mainly cosmetic improvement. I spend couple of days working on look, feel and occasional usability issues.
It was delightful to work on such meaningful product and to get generally positive feedback from users. Please, scroll down to see the process.
I’ve got these screens as starting point. Later on client wanted to add a few drop-down menus and two extra buttons for navigation between two search modes. I had to find visual solution to fit them all.
This is where so-called segmented control comes in handy and saves a lot of space.
Green highlight color adds optimistic freshness to UI look. It comes from TE original green. Nowadays rebranded.
I also designed set of custom icons.
